Confident and clear communicator. More organized than anyone you’ve ever met (I promise). Part sass, part sophistication...all leopard print (trust me—it’s a neutral).
Let’s start with this: I’m an awful corporate employee. I spent years working in project management for a health insurance company—and, while I loved managing the distinct personalities and moving pieces, the lack of creativity left my spirit longing for more. (So. Much. More.)
Bubbling beneath the surface the entire time was my lifelong obsession with weddings. (I have Steel Magnolias to thank for that.) I was enamored with the idea of using my creativity and organizational expertise to help couples celebrate their partnership—and, as a minority and someone in an interracial marriage, I was particularly interested in serving the underrepresented in an industry where I didn’t see a single professional or bride who looked like me.
So, when a planner I followed announced she needed an assistant, I naturally applied. Turns out, she loved me...and I loved planning weddings. (And you can bet I waved a real quick goodbye to the insurance industry.)
Above all, I’m a boundary queen and a big believer in efficiency—you don’t deserve anything less. I’m not going to waste your time or sugarcoat things (but I do love some red velvet cake).
Instead, I’m here to get it done and make it dope. Because, like you, I’m all about making meaningful things happen (and happen fast).
Today, I have more than nine years of experience under my belt and a serious penchant for planning under pressure. (Ask me about the time I pulled off an unreal party in six weeks for an NBA player and 40 of his closest friends.) As someone who lives for the smallest details and thrives when I’m working toward something meaningful—I love how wedding planning allows me to constantly take on challenges, meet new people, and get down on a complicated timeline or large guest list.
My husband Sean amazes me with his confidence, strength, and unwavering ability to remain his most authentic self—regardless of what life throws our way.
I would love to tell you I spend my downtime reading enlightening literature...but it’s reality TV for me. I will never turn down an episode of RHOA, or Married to Medicine.
I can be having a DAY and a half—but the moment I hear belly laughs from my little ones, Evan and Maia, I remember what matters.
My faith in God brings me courage, comfort, peace, and the desire to continually push through without fear.
Here, you’ll find planners, people, and creative partners who see you, appreciate you, and maybe even look like you. Because it’s not too much to ask.
At the heart of the Lauren O & Co brand is a deep-rooted desire to showcase love stories of all forms—particularly the kind that are underrepresented in the wedding industry. Before it was ever a hashtag (way before), it was our reason for being.
