The Journal
As a member of the Coterie, Munaluchi Bride’s vendor collective we are afforded many opportunities to not only connect with fabulous couples but other wedding creatives. At the beginning of February Munaluchi reached out to the Coterie with the amazing opportunity to host a curated dining experience for engaged couples. We immediately jumped at the opportunity!
With only two weeks to coordinate and plan I, along with my fellow Coterie members, Upscale Events, Abbey Domond Photography and Orchids n Blooms Event Design treated two engaged couples to an evening of pampering, entertainment and delicious food.
Yolanda Christine Photography Studios was the perfect backdrop for this urban, romantic “Recipe for Love” photo shoot and dining experience.
As the couples arrived the ladies were whisked away to makeup where their very own Beauty Entourage pampered them. Not to be left out the gents stopped by the makeup lounge prior to their video interview to receive some light pampering by Beauty Entourage.
The interviews were funny but heartfelt at times. Each groom’s face lit up with pride as he spoke about why he chose his bride, how he proposed and how he knew she was the one. The ladies also sat for interviews and blushed when talking about their guy and how they knew he was the one. The couples gave their secret ingredients for the recipe for a good marriage – love, commitment, respect.
After interviews Abbey Domond of Abbey Domond Photography treated the couples to a private photo shoot.
A special treat was the live serenade by Jazz saxophonist, David Davis.
The couples entered the dining area greeted by champagne and were lead to the bar area where Chef Rafael Medina of Stamford, CT presented the couples with delectable appetizers of freshly made Bruschetta and Tostones topped with skirt steak. Chef Rafael then demonstrated proper technique and preparation of their first course, Cucumber Wrapped Salmon Salad.
The couples were then directed to the dining area were their table set for four. For the tablescape, we chose a regal color palette of deep burgundy, romantic blush tones and soft ivory accented by touches of gold. A stunning floral chandelier hung gracefully above the tables creating a wonderful ambience of romance.
As the couples dined they talked about their “Recipe for Love”. Dinner consisted of Braised Short Ribs with Risotto & Asparagus. The meal ended on a sweet note of a decadent dessert, gluten free White Chocolate Crème Brule with Chocolate Mousse & a Chocolate Truffle prepared by Pastry Chef Melanie of The Brownie Factory.
As a thank you for dining with the Munaluchi Coterie each couple was presented with a swag bag full of things to help them recreate this evening of a “Recipe for Love”.
A big thank you to all of the vendors who donated their time and resources to make this amazing night a reality. A huge shout out to my fellow Coterie members, Erika, Abbey & Erica.
