LO’s Fall Favorite Things

Happy Monday! I can’t believe it is the first official day of Fall aka my absolute favorite season. Although I am born on the first day of Summer I strongly dislike the heat. For me, Fall is the perfect balance of sunshine, cool breeze and pumpkin flavored anything. 🙂

In honor of Autumnal Equinox here are a few of my favorite Fall eats, treats and fashion. Enjoy and happy Fall!

Those who know me knew this was going to be at the top of my list. Dunkin Donuts pumpkin muffin has become somewhat of an obsession of mine. While I was pregnant with Evan I craved them so bad that I called the D&D headquarters to find out when they would be in stores, it’s the day after Labor Day FYI, and then promptly marked the date on my calendar. They’re super bad for you but I like to treat myself to one at least three times a season.

2. Scarves

I love to layer. My Fall and Winter wardrobe consists of lots of flowy sweaters and tons of scarves. Since I really hate coats I make sure to always have a scarf on to keep my chest warm. I’m seriously crushing on this leopard print scarf from Brina Box.

Although I love me a good tall boot, I always struggle to find a boot that fits my super short legs and extra wide calves. Torrid has a few boots that are supposed to fit the wide calf girls.

4. Boardwalk Empire

HBO is seriously my favorite Cable TV network. The Wire remains the best show ever, in my opinion, and Boardwalk empire is a close second. Set during Prohibition this show serves up in the wardrobe department something serious. I enjoy the story lines and adore the clothes and music. Sadly, this fifth season is it’s last. Not sure what I will watch once this is over.

5. The Yankees

While baseball is technically a Spring sport I don’t begin paying attention to it until the Fall. By now I have a good idea if the Yankees are going to make the playoffs, not happening this year, and that’s when the games really get exciting. This year is also Derek Jeter’s final season as a Yankee player. So while they won’t make the playoffs, I have enjoyed all of the touching tributes for “The Captain”.

And there you have it, my favorite Fall things. What are you most looking forward to this season?

Until next time, happy planning!
