Wifey For Life: Wedding Flowers

We have announced the next Wife For Life Workshop and we could not be more excited! In case you missed it, or have no idea what we’re referring to, we wanted to let you in on this great offshoot of Lauren O. Events and  what the workshop can offer for you brides to help you plan your big day!

What is Wifey For Life?

Wifey For Life is a Connecticut based workshop to offer guidance and fun into the planning process for the modern bride. Whether you just got the ring or are approaching the date quickly, there’s no right or wrong place to be in to attend one of these events. By providing education and an interactive environment, these workshops help any bride-to-be gain valuable insight into many aspects of their wedding and how to even create many things on their own. Similarly, the settings are more intimate than a bridal show so you get to mingle, grab some great food, and ask questions to an attentive audience.

Our upcoming event is scheduled for June 4, 2017 in collaboration with Candi’s Floral Creations at My Little Ladies. The event will cover Wedding Flowers, a huge topic for any bride planning her big day. Who really knows how expensive these beauties can be? How much goes into floral arrangements, bouquets, and centerpieces until you start doing all the wedding related research?! This is where our event really stands out because you get hands on experience working with florals and can get that personal perspective on how you want to arrange and utilize flowers for your wedding day. How awesome!

Here’s a breakdown of the day:

11 AM – Registration, and brunch
11:30 AM – Welcome from Lauren O and Mary of My Little Ladies Farm & Design Co.
12:00 PM – Wedding Flowers with Candi of Candi’s Floral Creations
12:45 PM- Tour of the beautiful grounds and brand new barn wedding venue! Plus more food!
1:30 PM – Hands on workshop. Candi will lead us all in a fun hands-on floral workshop. We’ll all make something special for the guy in our lives.
3:00 PM – Hugs, photo booth, and goodbyes.
IT GOES FROM 11-3ISH…DO I HAVE TO STAY THE ENTIRE TIME?
No way! Our cocktail brunch begins at 11 am, however, if you want to come just for the swag bag and workshop…that’s cool! We understand that people are busy and Sundays can get crazy. Your ticket reserves your seat guarantees you a swag bag as well as the cocktail brunch and hands-on workshop. Attend what you are able to, if nothing, register for the swag!! It’s amazing!

WILL THERE BE SWAG?

Yes! Of course. We have tons of sponsors for our swag bags. Mini session bags are valued at $75!

WHAT ELSE?

Each workshop attendee will receive worksheets that will assist them in their wedding planning. On the day of, your place setting will have a workshop folder packed full of worksheets for budget planning, vendor checklist, timelines, and much more.

DO I HAVE TO PREREGISTER TO ATTEND?

Yes. The gifts are personalized so we’d like to know how many ladies will be attending and what your names are so that we can have your special gift ready for you.

HOW WILL THIS HELP ME?

The purpose of these workshops is for you to gain a better understanding of what goes into planning a wedding and for the vendors involved to gain a better appreciation of what your needs as a bride are. Plus, there will be champagne!
